I was looking at a new front grill for my accord but noticed that the stock grill is built into the bumper. Does this mean that to install a new grill i have to cut it?

I wanted to post pictures but it won't let me.

 

im not too familiar with 6th gens, but you may want to try looking through a chiltons or helms manual at a auto parts store. You may be able to find out what you need to do.

 

im thinking that u have a 4 door sedan

the type R grills that u c on ebay for accord 6gens are for coupes only

trust me i wanted one for a while : ( and then i also found out my grill is part of the bumper

if look at a coupe in a parking lot u will notice its stock grill is separate from the bumper

is there a grill kit that goes over the little bar that holds the H emblem? the piece that holds the H emblem seems to be a seperate piece and I've seen other grill kits (which only include mesh) that seems to be far forward. Actually at modacar.com the Grillcraft Sport Center Grill seems to have a 1 piece front bumper and a grill over it, but that might just be because of the front kit
