If you're asking about the EM1s (99-00) then no. Not legally. Most places you have to have a motor that is at least as new as your car. If you are asking about the EP3 engine, then probally yes. I haven't seen very much 7th gen information on here at all, and even less on motor swaps into them. It should be very straightforward though.

Hasport makes a kit to put K-Series into ES Civics for around $539.

im talkin bout the Si engine the new hatch...is that the EP3?

What are the abbriviated names for the two motors?

Do you know the price of the EP3 and what i could get for my engine? and the money i need for the swap itself??

My dad has a type s and i if i did a straight swap could my engine fit in his no problems?

Yes sir it is.

EDIT: If you're going to bother swapping at all Id strongly suggest the motor from the RSX Type S. It's a considerably stronger motor.

01 and up non-Si Civics are the ES Chassis. the K20a3 is the 2002-2004 Civic Si and 2002-2004 base RSX engine, the K20a2 is the RSX Type S engine, it is MUCH better, I can't remember the details but the K20a3 is kinda like i-VTEC-e as in economy, at certain revs only 12 valves are on the job whereas the K20a2 is a much more performance oriented engine as she is a true i-VTEC 16V DOHC lil' fire breather.

EDIT:
just found this, boo-yeah: http://www.hondata.com/techk20general.html

that should lean you towards the K20a2
