Default Another ZC - DX hatch wiring question...

I just got a 89 hatch and I was thinking about droping a LS in it. I read that the JDM ZC DOHC motor from the JDM Civics/CRXs will bolt up without any aftemarkert motor mounts. That sounds easier, and more cost affective than the LS. My question is what wiring harness do i use?? The Si harness??

You can use the SI harness to hook up the ZC but the question is, what are you going to have to wire to get the SI harness to work with a DX?

i was reading that the Si ecu will control the ZC, but the ZC ECU (JDM) along with the ZC motor will put the car at 137 to the wheels. gotta love JDM.

hmotorsonline is a good company to deal with, I've heard a lot of good about them and they're prices are resonable. I personally might be getting one from a private seller as soon as he tells me how much shippings going to be.

Well guys, I myself have delt with hmotorsonline, and had no problems with the motor (dohc zc) Motor looked awesome, very clean, everything was there except the tps sensor on the tb...but i just took off my si tb and put it on...no problem...It was my first swap ive done myself, ive helped out on many...but its alot different, when you are orchestrating everything yourself. I have to admit, i love my dohc zc, its VERY torquey....as apposed to what others have said sayin otherwise. I havent taken it out to the track yet due to lack of money for a new clutch. But its so easy to modify the harness to work with the zc....just 7 wires...nothing to it...its just re arranging them....i had a wiring diagram....but once you look at the colors...it all just matched up...So in my vote...ill stay with the dohc zc...im very happy with it

also I was just wondering what you have done to your DOHC ZC? I can't decide if i want one or a D16z6. IF i get the ZC I can also purchase a ZC race head that my friend has. That will turn some more horses out.

As far as usdm's go....they H22 is just a serious bragging right...and to me...worth the 6 grand youd invest on having a TOTAL screamer.....hell...you wouldnt even have to race to have people bug eyed over it...just pop the hood....And hell.....what about a K series.....(as skunk goes into a day dream of honda engines in his hatch......)

as far as the diagram, i have it...http://www.geocities.com/civic...g.gif but ive got your basics done, intake, exhaust, header (i had one for the d16, but you have to port match it to the zc) nothing spectacular, im gettin things prepared for a turbo....removing the air box, and windshield washer tanks out...you get these two perfect holes for intercooler/turbo piping.......inspired me...lol.... its not mutch to look at.... but you can check it out at http://groups.msn.com/HONDA-si...age=1
