good rods for allmotor setup

i'm running eagles now, but for it seems like overkill, since i'm not likely to bend or break a rod, short of hydrolocking, i was thinking of using stock ITR or GSR next, worth it to shot peen? Or is there a rod that favors light weight over bulk and strength?
dpr's are just "probe" rods, basically the same as eagle. forged in china, machined here. same ****. since you've got the eagles, i'd suggest just running them, why spend money to go to a weaker stock rod.

basically the same?
Probe is lighter than stock.
Eagles are heavier than stock.... what makes them the same?
Probe, Manley, IB rods, Cunninghams.

probe's are lighter than eagle, stock, whatever. we're talking a few grams, and with the way guys beat on there street engines these days, over revving etc, they could use the extra strength.
i know probes are a little lighter and not as beefy as eagles. weaker? I dont know. doubtful. my point was that both are probably made in the same forging factory in china....same as peak performance....scat....cat....etc.
are they strong? yeah.
are they cheap? yeah.
will they break? not easier than any other forged rod, which is not easy.
they are not as nice and pretty as cunningham, carillo, crower, manley etc. but the 3x price difference doesnt get you 3x the performance.
oh yeah..and IB rods..reboxed china stuff too.

if you are using oem pistons...then just get some shotpeened GSR rods they're the same damn thing as the ITR rods
but yeah, all of the h-beam rods i know of (Carrillio, Eagle, Crower, Scat..etc..etc...) are all the same rods, but finished in house slightly diffferent. just go with what's the cheapest, which i think is scat right now.

a lot of people confirmed that the R rods were lighter and stronger than gsr's?

[cough] eagles [/cough]
ya if you already have them , no sence in NOT using them.

Just as important as part selection is proper assembly of the short block.
Don't just torque and go. You'll want to check how freely the cranks spins and your oil clearances otherwise you'll have failure that can break any rod.
