Cheapest OBD2 ECU I Can use for H22A (Smog Testing Only)
I know this is kind of a weird question but I am trying to figure out which OBD2 ecu I can use to pass the smog tests? In Oregon for the OBD2 test they just check to make sure there are no codes or anything, that you have a cat, dont exceed db limits, etc...then send you on your way.
I am running the AEM EMS normally so I don't want to shell out the money for the OBD2 Prelude ECU (the one w/o the immobilizer) since I will only be using it once every 2 years.
Obviously I just want the cheapest ECU that will pass me...I don't care about anything else at all...so what are my options? I figured the OBD2 GSR ecu would work but they are kind of expensive. Someone told me that the non vtec civic ECU's would work but the car obviously wouldn't run that great. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
