after 2 years of driving on 1 cylinder i finally tuned my bike and now it RIPS!!!!
hahah well about 1.5-2 years ago i purchased a 1978 honda cb400t for $100.00 of my buddys uncle...all it needed was gas and a battery and it fired right up..so me and some buddys used it to learn on and we thought it was supposed to be slow cause it was a 78 400..(the bike was kept at a buddys house about 50 miles south of where i live) my buddy has no tools and dosent know much about bikes..after we learned on it we let it sit for about 1 year....just yesterday i finally took the bike to my house and was messing around with it and was trying to get more power out of it and give it a basic tuneup...little did i know..that cleaning the carb and synch'ing them can produce so much power..this thing RIPS!!!..i took the carbs off completly, took them completly apart, cleaned them and checked everyting to make sure everything was working properly..well i discovered that one of the carbs was not getting the fuel to the head because some idiot used rvt silicone gasket crap in the float bowl and it gummed up every hole and stopped it from filling up with fuel..so i put everything back together...connected the cabels started it up tuned them the best i can by ear( its damn near perfect
) removed the airbox and ziptied a piece of t-shirt i made as a filter over the inlets to the carbs(for restriction mostly) and took it for a ride...my first impression was wow..this thing is responsive..then when i got out on the street i got on it and to my suprise it took of like a bat out of hell..the rear wheel was spinning while the front wheels was about 6 inches off the ground..it almost ripped me off the back of the bike cause i wasnt expecting that...the point to the story is 395cc's are FUN!!!
next on my modlist is: custom flushmount rear turn signals and tail light, custom straight pipes, silverstone metallic paint, tires, front brakes

You can smoke a lot of brand new cars with that dinosaur 400. Go have fun!

I dont think I've ridden a boring bike. I've ridden 50's, 2 and 4 stroke dirt bikes, cruisers, tourers, and sportbikes. Even scooters, and they all have their fun points. If I was faster on dirt bikes I might like it as much as riding sport bikes.
yea..my goal with this bike is total rat bike..but a solid well built rat bike...i finished the pipes last night...im gonna wrap them with header wrap and just paint it flat black...i also lowered the rear end and made it a hardtail..it actually feels better due to no rearend sag under acceleration....i know 40cc's are fun anything is fun if its gas powered
..once the bike looks how i want ill post up some pics
