Default Stripped 00 SI questions about new engine

Hi, I've been reading day and night for the past week on this forum, so I decided to register to ask questions that I couldn't find on the forum.

I recently bought a stripped 00 SI, I want to put a USDM B18C1 in it, I know I'm going to need the axels, ECU , Mounts, but seems like nobody covers anything about the header and the downpipe, will they connect to the stock SI? or will I have to custom fabricate an adapter? Also, i figured that the stock engine harness doesn't need any modification? is this true?

I know there's going to be some flamers who are going to tell me to search the forum, but I did there isn't much about swaping in 00 si, Only in EGs and non SI EKs.

Em I missing anything else? want to make this install as smooth as possible.

Thanks, in Advance

the header and downpipe should fit fine because all the b series header and downpipes are the same...

incorrect. the b18c1, b18c5, b18b1 and b16a2/3 all have different headers from the factory. b18b1/c5 and b16a2/3 will bolt up to the same exhaust, but the b18c1 header will be shorter than the rest from the factory (it has a longer cat from the factory).

The b18c1 will bolt directly into the '00 SI chassis with no problems. To make things easier, get an obd2 motor that will adapt to the stock '00 SI harness.

Yes the motor will bolt up directly, and know you want need to do any wiring changes as logs as the motor is obd2. My honest opinion would bee to upgrade to the LSD tranny granted honda's oem LSD's are not the best out there it but it is better than not having one at all. As long as you have everything for the swap it will be piece of cake.
