they do not come stock out of the factory with the knock sensor in the stock ROM, the skunk2 chip may have it or may not have it, it can go both way because i have seen them with and with out it, but since u have a p08 my money is that it does not have it

the ecu is reprogrammed so it does not have the stock JDM bin-(program) on the rom..and the rom controls everything

It's not that simple. The knock sensor has it's own driver board, and there is no knock board present in the P08.
