Would these pistons clear? And what the hell is "claying"? How much compression do you think this is going for in a d15b?

The pistons will barely clear.
Claying is putting this putty like substance on top of your pistons, then laying the head on, then cranking the motor over and checking clearances.
The compression will be approximately 14:1...not streetable. Emerika ran this setup and it pinged like a bitch even on high octane fuel. Why are you so bent on an engine build? Mill the head and then have it ported and throw a big-*** cam in there, or just turbo it.

dont put 1.6 pistons in a 1.5 block unless you are using the rods from the vx or the jdm d15b vtec motor. piston pin/rod length measurements are different between the d15 and d16 motors.
if you put d16 pistons on non vtec rods, piston sits lower in the hole, making the job a waste of time.
edit: if you have the jdm d15b vtec they wont sit low, look at the above post.

ahh sounds like a hassle...i just wanted to bump up my compression a bit when i change my head gasket. but i do have a jdm d15b.

holy **** 14:1...and i thought it was going to be in the low 12s high 11s.

Use a Y8 headgasket and shave the head. Along with slightly bumped timing you may be able to still run 91 octane anything more and its ping city.

that's a good motor. Use the edlebrock intake, 60-64 mm thorttle body, Si tranny, and a chipped ECU with a decent header and its money in a light car.
