ITRCA changing hands
Nov 5, 2001
A while back a conversation transpired on Honda-Tech (HT) about the future of ITRCA called “ITRCA Unite!” It opened up a large discussion, and a clear need for ITRCA to grow. I’m pleased, as I hope all of you will be too, to announce that the future of ITRCA is not only secure but also has a path of future expansion.
Brett (ITRCA founder) and I came to an agreement to pass ITRCA to myself. He had become increasingly busy during the last year, and has other priorities, but at the same time ITRCA was taking off. So he felt the best solution is to pass the club on to another person willing to take it to the next level.
ITRCA will continue to be a club for and about the Integra Type R. There may be subtle changes in the future but only ones that will benefit the members in the long term. All the regional directors have been told of the changes we will be considering.
If anybody has any concerns please feel free to email me directly or post on HT if you like. I do read HT (Type R forum) fairly often, but if it is important please email me. If you email me directly I will keep it confidential unless you tell me otherwise.
We will need many people to help out. So anybody interested in helping out, please contact me.
I would like to open this up to Q & A for anybody that has questions or comments.
Thanks,
Jerold Kunzman

I was making the http://www.itrca.com stickers for him in the past and I have a few extra left over, so if you need any, give me a shout.
Cool. I already have the image all digitized so the prices are pretty reasonable considering the quality of the decals and the time spent making them.

Yoshi & TypeRmsm,
Thanks for the offer I will be taking you guys up on that.
In general anybody that is interested I will need lots of help with many minor things. I will in the near future be building the organization. My plan is to get a little help from many people. That way no one person is doing way too much.
The structure that is in place with regional directors will stay exactly as is. I will be adding some others to help out with other stuff, website, merchandise, membership and event organinzation.
I have asked Mike Marsey (Rboosted717) to be the membership liasion for ITRCA. I've known Mike for a while and he is one of the most enthuastic ITR owners I know. I'm sure he will need lots of local help from all of you guys getting the word out.
I figure there are about 5000 ITRs US and CAN, yet we only account for 620, or approx 12%. So where's the 88%? The first plan is to find that 88%.
Thanks,
Jerold

Have dealerships recommend the site? Our local Subaru dealer usually informs people of http://www.i-club.com when buy a impreza.
Good idea, I thought about that. I know most BMW dealers have something to say about BMWCCA.
I think the service writers would have the most impact at this point, since they aren't going to make anymore ITRs for now. I know a service writer at Steven's Creek that might be able to help me out, maybe I can get a customer list?

What about taking out an add in that quarterly mag that comes from Acura itself? The name escapes me at the moment though. I would be interested in helping out with this, Maybe find out some more info on it.
I've been in contact with my good friends at Stevens Creek Acura regarding this. A good friend on mine their, who also owns one of the nicest type R's I've even seen as well as the show circuit has seen is a sales rep for them. Himself and I have been working with Honda Corp. for awhile regarding getting the name out like the NSXCA. The main issue is getting us up to the status of a real "club of a america." The NSXCA has tons of backing from companies and Honda. If we can get a package together with company sponcership backing, Honda would take our team into the status of the NSXCA. However here's a new issue. NO MORE Integra's or better yet no more type R's for the time. The main point of getting Honda/Acura to help us was too get the word out to new owners, which will be kinda hard until the new R shows its face.
So here's the dillio. Acura style, Velocity, and a few other mags are our key targets at the moment. Velocity is highly backed by Jackson Racing, so I'm in the process of talking to Oscar and JR to see if we can get a incert or minor article that will mention the ITRCA and help get some more people signed up. I'm not gonna push that just yet, until we get the ITRCA worked out and setup.
