what offset are your wheels tho? 215 would prolly rub more than you want with a +40 offset

will the 45 ratio be enough to balance out my 1.5inch drop? i dont wanna lose the 1.5 inch drop i got from springs just because i want wheels that are 2 inches bigger
and actually the offset of those wheels are either 40 or 48 im not sure which

205/50/17 is about as close to your wheel diameter as you are now... 215/45/17 will give you 1.2 inches less circumference... 205/50/17 will give you .3 inches extra circumference.
i just found out my stock wheels are 15 x 6
does this help? and again they are on 195/65/15
the ones i want are 17x 7 , now i am sure they are 40 offset
is it mostly preference? should i just try my best to get the diameters to match or is there more to it
so far i hear 205/45/17 215/45/17 and 215/40/17 as suggestions

i didnt want to make a new post...but from research most ppl recommend 215/45 for everyday driving on 17x7 rims with 40mm offset...
my situation is with a 17x7.5 rim with a 40mm offset....what tire size do ppl run with a 2 inch drop on a 5th gen? any help is appreciated.

i used a calculator and found out that 225/45/17 had a very close diameter with my 195/65/15
so one clean ride u have a 2 inch drop? how do u calculate the drop into the tire sizing

215/45/17 is the ideal size, but you can fit up to 225/45/17 if you need more traction for aggressive driving.
"pcd" stands for pitch circle diameter.. it's basically your bolt pattern i.e. 4x100, or in your accord's situation, 4x114.3

I'm lowered 1.5" on neuspeed sports...Run 215/45/17. No rubbing that I've seen, or heard.
I have stiffer shocks now too, so that probably helps prevent rubbing as well.
I believe the 225's are prone to rubbing the inside of the wheel well during turns.
Make sure the car's realigned if you haven't already since the drop.

yep.. well, at least for the back.. i cut and rolled the rear lip.. i'm dropped 2.5" in the front and 2" in the rear.. have 17's with 40 offset and 225/45/17 azenis sport which is equivalent to 235 in width.. i only rub on the front if it turn hard on uneven roads.. so now it's cool..

yea, i'm sure if i rolled my rear fenders, i wouldn't have that rubbing issure anymore, but i haven't gotten around to it. i'm sure that if i did roll them, i might be able to squeeze 235's on there...but that still might be pushing it.

its a safe bet... you could always try 215 and cut away what you can of what its rubbin against, if at all possible
sometimes it just rubs on the wheel well gaurd and you can always just cut away at it.
