6th gen accord, auto to manual conversion
ok, this isnt a thread about whether to do it or not, this is a thread all about douing it. i dont want anyone saying its not worth it, because i am doing it regardless of the cost or amount of time it takes.
first question, since 6th generation accords in 5spd are more rare, would it be possible for me to use the pedal assemble from a 5th generation accord?

You can use any pieces you want as long as things like the linkage and all are long enough. Check the distance you are gonna need between everything and find the longest linkages and such you can. 5th gen would probably be a good idea. Actually shouldn't be too difficult though I'm sure it would be easier if you just swapped to say a H22 tranny or something and it came with all the necessary hardware. Then you could just start hacking away. The only thing is you would probably have to get the ECU from a manual Accord of your year. don't really know what else could help you.
Get the parts you need and start cutting.

well i am actually going to use an manual ECU from a prelude, since i am using the prelude transmission. right now i only have an auto ecu. it'll work, but i'd rather have the one for manual.
im hoping that i can use pedals from a 5th gen, and maybe even the clutch cylinder and hydrolic lines, but i will most likely need the linkage from a 6th gen.

when you swap a manual tranny into your car the auto ecu wont work, you have to use a manual ecu. hence why there are auto and manual ecus and not just a universal ecu.

well, technically you can use the automatic ECU, but you will usually get a CEL. i've seen it done before, but i'd rather not do it if i dont have to.
