Sorry JOMO... your wrong on this one. I did an S2000 with peel and seal
( the customer wanted brought it in). It took us longer to install the stuff
and it was thinner or rather less dense than dynamat. So you
needed to use more to gain the same effect.

Look I'm about doing things on the cheap like the next guy...but do it
smartly. Why work 2-3x as much for the same effect you can do 1x.
Work smarter..not harder.

I used an insulation-type material called "Roxul Safe and Sound." Stuff it tight between body panels and they will sound very dead.

i know all of that but it still wrks out cheaper, at least where i come from, i can get peal n seal for us $1 a square foot and we have locally made stuff that is probably thicker than your peal n seal because we use it to seal zinc roofs in jamaica

but you are right in this guys situation a bit of dynamat would be better and the logo looks nice

ok i wont reply until you or another audio god replies with similar thoughts first sorry

Yeah, EDead v3 and QuietCar are good. I plan to use either in my car soon since I'm too lazy to lay down mat(s).

i tried "peel n' seel" only because i have customers asking about it. it took atleast 2 layers to achieve the same effect as dynamat exteme. plus it peels off by it'self after a while.
the best quote i have heard in a while..."a lazy man works twice as much doing it right"

i used fatmat in my truck, got it for $1/sq ft, not as dense as dynamat but i was very pleased with the results. i doubled up on the doors and roof, and it quieted the truck down a crazy amount

Where does most of the road noise come from? My friend dynamatt his whole floor, but the road noise is still pretty loud. Basically, it didn't really do much.

I have seen some crap jobs where they just lay it over without cleaning the surface or not use a heat gun. LAZYASSes!!
