Its probably the same as the one that was on the F4... I had that and it was slightly more confortable than the F4i but still not as nice as the zx6r i've ridden on.

Did the ZX6R you rode have a special seat or something??? Mine is killng my butt.

 

Nope 01 stock is more confortable for my bony *** than my f4i and f4i's. The seat always had that kevlar foam feel for me. I ride my f4i for 2hrs and i feel like I just got outta jail... if u know what i mean

 

i've never sat on the banana seats before but damn my '02 f4i seat is horrible. When i get to work after a 35min ride my *** hurts like ****. I really need to do something about my seat. I'm assuming its gotta be a lot more comfortable, thus, the reason for the change.

 

They changed it to differentiate the two models and their purposes a little more.

The F4i is already a capable bike, but since they have the RR now, they can soften the F4i's image a bit. I sat on the F4i for a couple minutes and it seemed ok.

 

my F4 has banana seat and i've sat on an F4i after riding my bike for couple months. lets just say mine feels like a lazy boy compared to it. it may not look as cool, but it makes the bike more conveniant, which is what its supposed to be

 

98-02 zx6rs are very comfortble. 03+ are much less so
