Default New Import buyer here

Hey guys and gals,

I just recently bought a 02 Civic DX 5spd. Its got about 40k on the motor and we got from a Honda Dealership and its a nice little ride..I wanna start fixin it up and gettin the racer look..I just dont know of any places that do work on imports..its my first I have always driven trucks and gotten em lifted and such..now i got a Civic so I wanna do some stuff to it..Thinkin like Tire and Wheek Pkg.Coilovers.Body Kit.Strut Tower Bar.

Any ideas would be cool..id like to hear from people who are already into it and can give me some heads up on shops or tips..

Thanks in advance..
I live in Central Cali near Modesto,Ca

1. Before you get flamed, Id like to explain the search link for you. Up in the right hand site of the page, there is a search link. Type in what your looking for and it will mostly likely find something for you.

2. only suggestion at this point is LEARN LEARN LEARN, dont buy anything until you understand the product and knows the quality.

You live in Cali and you have yet to see 1 Shop!!! Crazy

Thanks guys for the help..I appreciate it...I found a shop in Modesto.
www.autoworx.com

So body kits arent good huh?Why and how do they ruin the lines of the car?IM just wondering cuz i really dont know..sorry if its a dum question. I have seen some real nice rides with some kits on them..they look pretty nice..

Does adding an exhaust system void your warranty by Honda?I saw an HKS one that I'd like to get.I have heard that adding an intake system does..so I dont want to do anything like that until the warranty is over..so its gonna be looks for now.

here on HT most people dont like them (im one of them, but there are some nice ones, i perfer the honda factory look). My best advice to you is do what you like, if you prefer a body kit get it! You might get flammed a lot but all that matters is that your happy with it.

ps. Welcome to HT

welcome to H-T
You can add a body kit, but if you do then try to get a suitable one for your car. The problem with body kits is if you go over a steep bump/pothole and hit your front bumper, it may crack and then once again you need to send in your car to the shop to have the bumper fixed and painted.

There are nice body kits out, like C-west and backyard special but you need to make sure the kit matches your car and that it doesn't stick out like a sore thumb

Good luck
