I miss my R
Don't know if I am remembered when I posted in here. I had a beautiful 00 ITR, sold it due to the drama and problems it brought me while I was still in high school. I bought a 04 type s which I am now selling. I was hoping for some insight from some of you guys. When this is sold I am seriously considering getting back into another ITR.
I am out of high school and working 50+ hours a week. The main turn off and reason for selling my ITR was theft. I see my type s every minute of the day where I work and let it rest in the garage at night. I am no longer in high school or hanging out with high school friends. Work Work Work. Thats it. I was thinking of getting something more professional C class Benz, something along those lines. But the more and more I think about another car. I think about a Type R.
It's screaming out from me. Any of you on here bought sold and then gotten another type r? Times are different for me now, and I think this time is a safer/better time to have one. From when I started looking for one, it looks like the prices are great for them right now. Any advice help is appreciated. -Shawn

there are several people here that have done what you are considering...
you sound like you would regret it if you didn't buy another one, if your situation has changed to the point where an R would make sense, then go for it

Yeah, i am new here but all ready i have changed my life style for this car..
Luckly i have a few other cars to drive around and keep this one in hidding..
But to drive the R is to really live... I have never driven a car that was so perfectly balenced with power, torque, and braking.. I can not say that that it drives like a fwd or a rwd because it really drives like a very light awd....
I am in love....

How the car begs you to hit the rev limiter in every gear and really throw it in to the corners. It is VERY easy to get in a lot of trouble in this car...To me, that's a big down side.

get what you want... if you get something else...you'll probably just end up selling it. I used to own an R, it was great...the best car ive ever owned...but I must admit, I used to sleep with one eye open knowing thet thing was in my driveway, it just made me end up selling it.
You're WAAAAAAAYYYY too young to be worrying about getting a "more professional looking C-Class," dude. You're working so hard right now, maybe you might consider investing some of this $$$ for your future rather than dumping it into something that could vanish in a heartbeat (the R).
That said, you're working so hard, so rewarding yourself wouldn't be such a bad thing.
In the big picture, don't worry about having a ride that shows status. I'm 32 and I have 2 Civics (real baller stuff
) . But I have a house with a garage to store one of them. It's kind of funny to me seeing kids w/ expensive rides. Kind of "make believe" to me.
Basically, do what makes you happy.

Back to topic: I'd say get the R if you really miss your old one.

What are kids looking forward too if they own an R in highschool? I was driving a POS 92 Jetta GL (automatic) in high school. I was happy as hell because I didn't have to ride the bus and was able to go to the girlies houses
