h22 accord need help

Default h22 accord need help

whats up,I got a real big prob with my 95lx,with a 95jdm h22,car runs perfect while its kinda cold ,but when it gets 2 normal temp vtec wont engage ,I hooked up a button 2 the vtec solinod just 2 see if it engages after the car reaches its normal temp and nothing,it clicks but makes no difference in perforamnce,then ill let it cool down and its enages vtec off the ecu with no prob,I changed the vtec solinod and nothing same prob,anybody ever had this prob?and what was the problem?

Hmm mine wont engage till it warms up usually after 3 min of driving.

Sounds like it is wired up backwards, or it could be oil pressure. Check all your wiring cause i don't think it should engage when it is not warmed up. Just a thought.

engaging vtec when ur car is cold is about the worst thing you could do to that engine, hence why it is made to not engage until the car is at operating temp. more than likely you do have it wired backwards like 01accordv6 said. its not even a good idea to rev above 3000 when its cold let alone high enough to engage vtec.

its only engaging vtec when the car is cold cuz of the apex vtec controller,but as soon as its at normal temp it wont engage,Iam goin crazy here dont know what it could be did the wiring all over and still the same thing,anyone ever had this prob?

hows ur oil level? oil is pretty vital for vtec workin properly.

yes oil, when my oil needs changing sometimes my v-tec wont engage correctly.

Your vtec should not be engaging at all at low oil temps. I still think it is a problem with wiring but you could try a new vtec solenoid to see if that fixes it.

I allready changed the vtec solinoid,and checked all the wiring,and nothing,I still cant find the prob
