hi, this is one of my first post... but i really need help, the eninge swap went good and i got every thing done and installed. Hasport did my wiring harness and i installed it. when i first drove the car it ran awesome! and no MIL/ check engine light came on... but later that night i was slowly tacking the engine up in 2nd gear and i got to about 4 or 5 grand and the check engine light came on and the engine kinda stumbled a bit. ever since then when i start the car the light is off utill the car warms up and then it comes back on.. the car seems like its running on fixed values. i thought it might be the 02 sensor but i put a new one in and it still does it. i had to hard wire the 02 in ... is it possible that i may have wired it in wrong? i really need help and ANY advice or thoughts are welcomed. I have a scan tool at school, but I can't use it till monday or tuesday.. and to be honest my car is a 91 accord lx and i can't seem to find the plug in for it.... thank for the help in advance....

 

I read the post but can't figure out why it would do that. Is your vtec still kicking in after 5k? Did you do all the routine diagnostics like check your oil, pull the spark plugs, check temp, coolant, did you plug your check engine light harness and count the flashes for the code its throwing? Thats your best bet. Find the code and it will tell you what sensor is throwing it.

 

thanks for the advice!!... asfar as the vtec kickin in .. yep it engages the car still runs strong.. but its hard for me to tell if its running to its full totential because i have only been driving it for a few days.... and as far as oil goes.. i just did a complete oil change... and the temp never goes above what it should.. the only question i have now is how do i get flash codes on this? its an 0bd1 car and the light only comes on once the car has been started and driven.... thanks again for the help!!!
