Default 92 versus 93-95 A/C compressors - What is the difference?

according to honda part numbers, then 1992 civics have a sanden compressor.....the 93-95 supposedly have a different sanden compressor or a different brand, but according to that info, only 92 compressors are alike.....what's the difference, does anyone know if a 92 will accept a 93-95 compressor and anything else would help......i need a used one and can't afford a new one right now......my lil girl will fry in the back seat

92-93 civic ac parts are compatible and 94-95 civic ac parts are compatible.

92-93 civic used r-12 for refrigerant.
94-95 civic used r134a for refrigerant.

Therefore you can presume that the parts are not interchangeable.

yeah, r12 costs more......i've already converted mine to r134a though.......just need a good compressor and a lot of refrigerant/oil..........but aren't the TRS090 and TRF090 sanden compressors interchangeable as long as you're running r134a?

because i think i'm about to find out.....looking at pics, i see no difference unless the bolt patterns are a bit different, but they look the same....thought i saw they were interchangeable.....not sure what the TRS is off of

I think the ac compressor four season 78560 fit with me. Anyone can tell if this Four season compressor fit with mine. Hola mi compressor del aire se me daņo y no lo consigo. pienso que el Compressor Four Season 78560 se le puede adaptar. Sera verdad esto?. Thank you

The EPA mandated that all vehicles sold in the US in 1994 or later must be equipped with R134a systems or better.

Some new BMW's use a high pressure c02 system.
