Mike01gsr ran into the same problem. He had to purchase another o2 bung, and have it welded to the downpipe and plug the other existing o2 bung. Mine was close on my downpipe, but clears. The last full race kit I installed i ended up fabricating the downpipe from the flex pipe section back so I placed the o2 bung at a good location. Your going to have to do what Mike01gsr did, if you were closer to me I would do it for you.

while you are trying to start it over have someone tap on the starter with a wrench or a small hammer, the vibration will free up the relay and turn the motor over

welp, she ran today...

pulling her out of the garage for the first time since october

in the driveway...

ther first ride...

shes a smoker... lol

we dumped some oil down the spark plug tubes to lube up the rings a little, cuz its been sitting for months... thats what that smoke is. went away after a tripe around the block.

I'm pissedoffsol bitch!

Ji taking her for a cruise....

sprung a couple oil leaks around the head gasket area... but it was fresh- we weren't sure if it was maybe the oil we dumped in leaking out of the head just wasn't torqued right. cams off, re-torque speced the head studs- which were all perfect to 60 ft/lbs per the helms.

welp, head off...

my alcoholics mechanic Ji....

bling wheels...

my mecahnic again, passed out... lol

brembo blanks, ebc greens'

random front shot, parked yet again...

cover off, after we decided its the tensioner....

done for the day

martine and Ji's car's

well, thats how she sits. cleaned up, got pizza, cleaned some more, ji and martine took off, e stuck around for a few more min.

got a CEL, and it ran kinda rough......... so we'll see.
but, she ran.

and will again.

the FR manifold is kinda pissing me off now.

2+3 don't sit flush with the head at all. massive exhust leaks... massive.

i dunno. i'm gonna talk to you guys about it after i work out other problems here...

I am very excited for you! I know the feeling of waiting and waiting to complete a project, and the feeling when its finally done.

For the exhaust manifold gasket are you using a used OEM one? I recommend getting a Mr. Gasket copper manifold gasket. They are 1/8" thick, and have a reall nice crush surface on them. It will seal up the leak for sure.

Everything is looking good though

The Correct way to fix your exhaust leak would be to have the manifold machined even. any machine shop would do it for like $15-20 bucks. chances are the flange is probably a bit uneven maybe?
