Hey everybody,


I was just wondering if anyone has tried installing a keyless entry system on their Del Sol? I have a 94' VTEC model, which doesn't have the electric door lock/unlock button. But it's like when you have both doors unlocked and you turn the car on, it locks the doors. And when you turn the car off it unlocks the doors. So I'm just wondering if I could just buy an alarm that has the keyless entry built in since the locks obviously have power going to them, or would I need to buy something else extra to make the keyless entry work? Any feedback would be appreciated!

yup. most alarms should work with no extra parts as long as both doors have the motors built in from the factory.

It sounds like someone already installed some sort of keyless system in the car. Maybe the previous owner. The 94's did not come with power locks, so the previous owner must have installed the actuators to make them move electronically. Check under the dash for any control unit that can either be replaced, or maybe you can locate some remotes to use.
