Help with stripping paint off urethane
So I picked up a used OEM JDM ITR front lip.. it arrived in extra crappy condition. The paint is cracked, and scratched. Just horrible.. So I went to a automotive paint supply store and picked up a can aersol bumper paint stripper.. it did a good job removing the blue base coat BUT now i'm down to a brown/yellowish coat (maybe primer) that the stripper have a hard time cutting through. I would just leave it, scuff it and paint but there are cracks/missing pieces on this coat as well.. SO whats the best way of getting it ready for paint?
I hear its not a good idea to use sand paper since it would scar the urethane.. so what are my options?
THANKS

Thanks for the reply guys.. but i'm still looking for another option.. i hear the aircraft stripper might be too strong and end up eating away at the urethane.. it would be my last resort..
I have no idea how my suggestion will apply to Urethane but, Easy-Off oven cleaner in the YELLOW CAN (heavy duty). I use it to strip paint off plastic.
