Default gsr springs+shocks in an EG

Hey all I am trying to put gsr springs and shocks in my EG. I am reusing my EG tophat, dustcover, etc. Problem is is that the GSR springs are much skinnier than the EG ones and i cant fit the spring compressor on with the dust cover in place. Does anyone know where i can get an oem style compressor? Or are the gsr dust covers skinnier? if i run w/o the dust covers, how easily could the shock be damaged?

The liklihood of your shocks being damaged by debris without the dust hat is minimal. Unless you road race, autocross, rally or trail-drive in your Civic, you probably won't even know they're missing.

im probably going to autox with these... i just got them until i can et a gc+koni setup b/c my current shocks+springs are extremely old.

After reading around a bit more i think im am just going to put the uncompressed assembly in and compress the spring by jacking up the lower control arm
