Satan, of course is right. As fars as the 2.2 si? it doesn't exsist, unless there was a swap of course. There is the h22a1- american 4th gen prelude si vtec. H22a- jdm 4th gen prelude sir vtec. h23a1 is the american si nonvtec in a fourth gen. All of these are DOHC's. The F22a1 is the 2.2 SOHC found in the american S model preludes. So the only way for a non-vtec prelude to be vtec is if there was a swap done to it like mine/

Umm....I'm pretty sure the F22B has a few different versions, there's both SOHC and DOHC...I also think one of them was VTEC, but don't quote me on it, I really can't remember. But I know the Si came with the 160hp F22B, the equivalent of the H23...not sure on it's size though...I'm going to check that now...
*edit* brain far...yea, F22...2.2l..yeh...hehe...good job, lol.

you're thinking of the F22B1 etc...the accord motors SOHC VTEC and stuff. THe F22B (no number) is the JDM DOHC. It's an H23a with a smaller bore. Same stroke and rods etc.
