Default EP3 exhaust on a EG?

I work at a honda dealership and I snagged up a EP3 muffler that came back because of warranty - the customer complained about surface rust on the chrome tips which i easily removed with some honda spray polish. On my VX hatch I have 2.25" exhaust from the downpip all the way to the muffler where I have the stock VX muffler ! Its like 1.xx" and looks like a god damn pea shooter. I'm sure its causing some restriction with my b16. The EP3 exhaust piping is a hell of a lot bigger than the VX and I thought i'd throw it on and see what it does. I'm just wondering if it will fit and what it will look like with the dual tips. Any pics or suggestions? If it doesnt fit it will be up for sale.

Do you just want the muffler put on? I'd imagine anyone with decent welding experiance could slap that on for you.

that's what I wanted to do, if you come across another muffler give me a holla. I'm sure that any half decent muffler shop could weld that on w/no problem for pretty cheap.

Okay: UPDATE. I put my car on a lift and it will definately fit... the length and the bends are perfect. The Stock hanger location looks like it will work too! Just needs a custom weld job. I have to wait a couple weeks before i can take the muffler home for the warranty claim to process I will post pics when its done. If I end up not doing it I will sell the muffler on honda-tech for cheap. The muffler is like brand new now that i polished it up.

I know 100% that the muffler fits on an EK, my friend already has an EP muffler on his 1998 hatchback.

so I looked at my muffler and I didn't think the EP3 would fit on the midpipe ... so I does or do I need to weld something .... or is the CTR EP3 different from the SI EP3?

uhmmm.... would this be the 92snatchback?

Yeah, the vx mufflers muffler is horrible. How soon do you think you will have this done? If you are experienced welding, and you have the stuff, drop me a pm and You can use my schools welders.

My friend has an after market cat-back exhaust system from the EP3...it's gonna be hard to do all that welding...to fit it on the EG. any suggestion?
