Hey everyone I'm looking on purchasing a 1996+ CBR, R6, or GSXR 600 and am wondering where the best place to find one is. I'm located in Oregon and there isn't much around here. I've been looking in cycletrader, ebay, and craigslist.org. Any other places? Anyone out there have a bike for sale? Thanks....

 

Is there a place where motorcyclists hang out? Try asking them, since you've already checked the other places...

Holy crap, you hang out there? On occasion, I ride by and wave, but have never stopped to talk.

Besides, after I drink boba, I like to spit the leftover ***** through the straw at innocent street signs. Hard to do with a full-face helmet.

U never met up there?

 

Nope, I've never met up there. It's hard to roll up as just one rider and talk to people. Plus, I've never been much for meeting up and shootin' the breeze - time should be spent riding.

 

trust, man it was freakin coo, we rolled out like 20bikes that one day n i only knew 2 guys. i dont even kno some of them, n they waited for me to catch up cuz i was a newbie. Jus let me kno if wanna join us one day. remember all bikers are welcome to roll.

yup, wed they usually wait for everyone until 10, after they drop by the gas station. if u need gas u pour after they take off toward the freeway, on the 10 west to hollywood. they all are coo people, u dont gotta kno anyone. park ur bike n jus say wats up to everyone.

 

So what do you guys do? Where do you typically ride to?

And do cops give you any trouble?

 

hollywood, where all the bikers are at. i would say atleast 400bikes. AFter jus ride around or go canyon wit them. i dont cuz am a newbie, n am the only one wit the 600rr the rest are like r6 n stuff.

That's a really good resource for used bikes. I don't know what area you're located in, but look in the classifieds in major metropolitan newspapers around your city.

I would really suggest getting a used bike from a private party rather than a dealer.

 

I'm definately looking to buy from a private seller. I'm located in Oregon but prepaired to drive to seattle or the bay area to get a bike.

Check the SF Chronicle classifieds, or maybe the Sacramento Bee classifieds.
