Skunk2 Short Shifter: Single vs Dual bend
I heard of people preferring the dual bend design, just wanted to get some input from everyone, to see what the real difference are, in feel, comfort and performance
The dual bend will angle the shifter to be further back than the single. It's a good thing for us 6'+ guys who ride with the seat all the way back so we don't have to reach too far for the shifter.
well I just read every single thread on this, stilt can't decide
did anyone own both of them ? or at least tried both of them so that they could compare them ?
thanks

I have not tried both, but I have a single bend in my 98..
Im 5'-10" average build, and it is just a tab bit far away, IMHO dual bend would be ideal

I have owned both a single bend ss and a dual bend ss and I prefer how the dual bend sits. It sits alittle farther back which is kinda nice, but thats just IMO.
I have had the stock civic shifter a, a single bend short shifter, and a Stock GSR shifter (dual bend) and the GSR shifter is the one i like the best it is comfordable and sits just right, and the throws are so nice.
I've had both single and dual bend shifter. I prefer the dual bend cause it sits closer to me.
I had the skunk2 dual bend and like that. Currently using a dc short shifter. Don't mind it as much but i like the skunk2 better.
Need to go get my skunk2 back.

is a stock GS-R shifter a better dual bend over the Skunk2? I have a friend with an EK b16 hatch and i prefer his GS-R shifter over my stock 00 Si shifter. Also, if i get a GS-R shifter, what parts would i need exactly?

thanks for searching it up for us 2ndchancehonda. I drove my friends EK B16 hatch with a GS-R shifter and I think it feels a hell of a lot better than my 00 Si stock shifter. Still dont know if i should get the stock GS-R shifter or the Skunk2, any known differences?
While we're on this topic, does anyone know if the Skunk2 dual bend SS will connect perfectly to the shift linkage of a civic? I know that if you use an OEM integra dual bend shifter, you need to widen the forks on the linkage for the shifter to work on a civic.
I have a B&M Single Bend...I'm 6'1" with pretty long arms and legs...and it's a little hard on the 3 and 5 shifts sometimes. I gotta lean foward in seat to make the shifts. Now in my friends DC2...he has a skunk2 dual bend, skunk2 ****, and es bushing...I love the way it feels and where it's positioned. Only thing I don't like...since he got the bushing...it kinda makes a metal on metal vibrating sound...other than that...I plan on gettin same setup for my EJ1...or just wait till my H22 is in...then use my 4bidden short shifter.
well if I would get the GSR shifter, I still wouldn't have a short shifter.
but I do see your pooint.. 100 for skunk2 or 5$ for gsr
