im going to take a look at a 99 cbr F4 , red/black 21,000 miles for $3,000

sound good? its a friend of a friends bike and he says he has a pipe on it and a bunch of other extras plus a $800 helmet.

i was wondering if they sell a 01 seat conversion, bc im not really feelin that long single seat, id rather have the dual style.. if so where can i find it?

also, is it possible to throw on a 01 digital speedo cluster , instead of the analog which comes on the 99?

any other info would be great too..like good sites for parts. etc etc

yes you can get the 01 tail on there....youll need the 01 subframe also... as for the guage cluster you can get it to work but the temp and gas part wont function

seriously. i ride my F4 a good ammount (at least when i'm home), then sat on an F4i at a dealership and oh man, that thing hurts!

 

What kind of helmet costs $800?!? Does it give head???

My helmet cost 79 dollars and I dumped my 200 and scratched up the helmet good 2 hours after getting it. I would have cried if it was 800 dollars.

 

I call BS on an $800 helmet. Most expensive ones I've seen that you can buy at dealers are like $500 top of the line shoei's or arai's. The bike sounds like a good deal for the price, just make sure you thoroughly check it and take it to the dealer for an inspection/tune up.

 

shoei x-11 and suomy extreme can retail for $650+
and i've seen arai helmets go for 700 in some bike shops

 

you guys know of any good sites online to buy parts?

I don't know anyone who pays retail for a helmet. But, I guess it could happen. I just want to see this $800 helmet.
