Hytech setup finally came
Finally the setup came, took ten weeks. Very impressive stuff, can't wait to throw it on. I have posted pics of the header, cat, and exhaust. On picture four and five there is a dent on my piping after the resonator, it's about quarter size. The thing is should I stress that dent? Let me know.

Nice, if you dont mind me askin, how much was everything? you can downsize the pics using photoshop if you have it. I wouldnt worry about that dent prolly wont affect flow any. but that would bug the hell out of me, paying soo much the exhaust and it came with a dent. but thats just me. good luck!

Yeah, I would have to say that its bothering me a little. I guess when you wait 10 weeks and pay a **** load then you want things to be perfect. How would I go about fixing it? Should I weld something on and pull it out with a dent puller?

I'd make them overnight you a replacement w/ shipping label to return the fucked up part...I don't care how big/small of an issue it is you paid an assload of money and deserve 100% perfect parts yesterday...but that's just me and I'm a ***** about **** like that...the welds looks blangin though

id kindly contact hytech about the dent you discovered and ask them to fix it or replace it. Hell you waited for so long and all that must have cost a pretty penny.
Perhaps the dent is specifically placed there to improve transient response?
I'll admit that the system does look nice (although I'm still not a fan of the twin-loop muffler), but I would definitely have that section repaired/replaced at Hytech's expense. How was the system packaged and shipped?
Edit: Fixed a little problem with the italics.

The muffler and cat were in its own box. The Header in a separate box. and The b-pipe was bubble wrapped in a few layers with a shipping lable on it (not in a box at all).

That probably explains the dent (though stainless exhaust tubing isn't all that easy to dent unless it takes a good hit), and I'm not sure whether Hytech will be willing to take care of that, or simply place the blame on the shipping company. It's worth inquiring about, and IMO if something is damaged because it wasn't packaged properly, the shipping company isn't necessarily 100% at fault, even though a box probably wouldn't have prevented your damage.

I would assume that the dent occurred during shipping. The liklyhood of it causing any degredation in performance is slim. You waited that long to get it, you won't even notice the problem once it is on the car, just put it on and cut your losses.

If he's gotten thru 10 weeks what's another few days to get a new one shipped gonna hurt?

True...but he might end up waiting another 5 just for a new piece. Hytech is good stuff, but not necessarily known for quick turnaround time.
I posted in this thread on HAN too. It's not going to make a performance difference worth conversing about. However, you did some $ for it, so I say, get on the horn, just to see what John says.

I would ask them to kindly replace the dented pipe, if you ever decide to sell the setup the dent in the pipe may lower its overall value it's one thing if you dented it but it's another if it was dented in shipping.

That dent is the first thing that caught my eye last night when you posted it all up. Other than that the system looks nice and to be exactly what John promotes/promises.
But, the dent would bother me seriously.
After all the money I'm sure you spent besides the wait time. YOU DESERVE it in perfect shape without Any dents or damage.
Call John and request a replacement.
Request it be done ASAP.
Then tell us what all becomes of it.

Flame me if you want, but I never recieved a dented product from any of the major manufactuers. ex: dc sports, tanabe, greddy etc.
For the money you paid, Hytech should of at least went out and bought a $5-10 dollar box and use more bubble wrap or peanuts to avoid these situations. If it was my money, I would of bought a Toda header and Mugen exhuast instead.
