as i said in the topic, the flywheel is grinding against the tranny case. it made a pretty deep groove in it even though it ran for about 1 min. the car is a 93 lude that originally had an h23 w/ manual tranny. that engine blew up and it is being replaced by a 94 h23/vtec that came from an automatic car. the tranny, flywheel, clutch and p.p. are all the same as when the car ran well. i am baffeled as to what it is that is cuasing this clearance issue. has anyone ever had a problem like this?

 

proably wrong flywheel, or flywheel not tightened up properly.

 

maybe an h22 flywheel was put on by accident? If there is actually a difference.

there's no difference...

 

no difference at all. I have a h22 flywheel, clutch, throw out bearing, and pp on my H23 block.

 

id make sure the flywheel was tightened first before anything, that would be my only guess
