Got my Prelude Back! :Temperature Sensor Problem
I just got my Prelude back from a local shop for an engine swap, clutch, flywheel, and cat. Here is the specs.
92 Si
H23
Forged Pistons (9.5:1 CR)
Sleeves
Shotpeened Rods
Forged Crank
Port + Polished Head
Anyway, this car is opening up great, but the Temperature gauge is not working at all. He mentioned some problems with it and included a spare temperature sensor in case it failed when I moved to Florida (3 weeks). Well on the trip home on the freeway, the sensor didn't even pick anything up at all. It stayed at 0 when previously it would jump to half-temp when I layed on it good in 2nd.
1st Question: The fans still seem to be running, but what are teh possible bad parts about running the Lude in this condition?
2nd Question: Where is the temperature sensor located?
Thanks for all your help. This car is about to get some boost, but all of this stuff needs to be sorted out of the way before that.

When I had my Clutch Installed, they messed the sensor up, and they installed a new one. When they installed your tranny, they could have bumped it. Might be something to look at. Good Luck.
Man, the first night is over and they messed my stuff up.
1st: Engine Temperature Gauge is completely messed up.
2nd: My subwoofer has been crushed and the terminals are destroyed. It is now non-functional.
3rd: Can you say overspray?
4th: My Front/Driver brake pad has melted off the damn caliper!
After spending $4600 for engine/clutch/flywheel/paint, I got shafted.
I would tell you all to avoid Showdown Motorsports in Toledo, Ohio. They knowingly sent me home with a broken car. There is no way they could have missed this stuff on test drives.
