KBC helmets?
A friend of mine just sold his bike and gave me one of these for free. It's a little tight, and not nearly as comfy as my Doohan...it says DOT/Snell on the back. Do you guys have any experience or feedback with these brain buckets?
My best friend has one, got it bc it was cheap. Of course it wont be as comfy as a Arai, but that;s obvious. It is DOT/Snell approved. I personally own an HJC CL-14, and no complaints. I like the way it fits better than my old Shoei RF-900.
I have the all black chrome KBC WOLF with the chrome visor. Looks mad pimp and is one of the most breathable helmets on the market.

Only complaint is that i paid to much :/

Just to let everyone be aware.
I own a KBC VR-1. It's good enough for me. I did notice that the bottom of the helmet is not completely flat. For example, if you place it on a table, you can see space looking under the helmet. My friend has an Arai and it sits flush with the table. It could just be the way the helmet is designed anyway. Bottom line, you get what you pay for.

KBC vr1s are a good budget racer helmet. Quite comfortable as well as functional. Very good choice if you're plugging your ears and are likely to use the helmet... again and again. The racer helmet is crap in its price range (almost shoei) and the rest seems to be just crap.

It appears as though that's the helmet I've got. Black/silver, looks pretty nice, although it ain't my Doohan.

What do you mean by that?

Not knocking KBC's because they are decent helmets, but if you go with an Arai, you will never go back to anything else.
Also size is important. If your getting a headache from wearing it, then it's too small.

See above. I've already got an Arai, and a pretty fancy one. I inherited it from my brother when he sold his VFR750. I've been using it for riding and tracking my ITR for 2 years.
The new helmet is a KBC VR-1 that I got for free from a rider in my building because I helped him with selling his bike. Motorcycle camaraderie owns.
I now have 2 helmets that would have cost a combined $700 or so new. Cost to me? Zero.
