hey guys when I floor it sometimes the gas pedal sticks to the ground like if its sticky... and when it sticks I then puch the clutch and I over rev the **** out of it. This pisses me off.
Anyone have that problem?

 

this is a stupid question but, you don't have floor mats do you? I had a set of crappy floor mats that would slide forward and sometimes the pedal would stick under it.

If it's not that, check the throttle cable for kinks . . . . does it just happen at random?

 

Clean the T/B, it might be sticking... Just a thought.

 

also check your thorttle cable

 

Your throttle body is prob. so dirty that it is sticking inside and you need to clean the fawk out of it. Make sure you buy a new throttle body gasket and that the spring that pulls the gas pedal back is clean and has some lithium (the white ****) grease on it to keep it from binding up again. When you clean the tb make sure that you clean out all the "orafices" that lead to the various sensors. Then when you put it back on make sure that you spray some tb cleaner into the tb when the motor is running to get out any excess gunk in the intake mani.

actually check the recalls for your car.. i swear i saw one for a newer model civic once with the pedal sticking down.. might have had something to do with the floor mats but either way its covered by honda

 

Do you have pedal covers? I did once and the screws that hold them on would get stuck in the carpet sometimes.
