Default Difference between JDM b18c and USDM b18c5 tranny

Ok.. was looking for the answer to some qns

Is the 96/97 spec JDM itr gearbox similar in specs to the USDM itr gearbox???

By specs, i mean size of the distance collar, 1st gear shaft, needle bearing etc that make up the components of the gearbox.

In other words, is the 98 spec JDM itr tranny COMPLETELY similar in specs to the 96/97 spec JDM itr tranny EXCEPT for the 4.785 gear ring and countershaft?

Having said that, would a 4.785 gear ring and 4.785 countershaft fit into a 96/97 gearbox WITHOUT the 1st gear shaft, needle bearing, distance collar etc that come with the JDM 4.785 final drive kit???

Don't think anyone has touched on this yet.
