Default **Feeler: 97 ITR with H22 swap**

Enough BS already. Only post in the thread if you: 1. have something new and INTELLIGENT to say. 2. read the WHOLE post. 3. Interested in the car.

Ok I am posting this for a friend.

97 ITR Champ white. The car currently has about 39K miles on the chassis, and about 3K oirginal miles on the legit, '99 H22 swap. The motor came from a wrecked prelude that still had temp plates and only 7xx miles.

Here is whats on the car:
H22 ~3K miles all original not rebuilt with paperwork
Hasport mounts
Driveshaft shop axles
Fidenza light flywheel
CM stage 3 clutch
Full 2.5 inch exhaust with N1 muffler and high flow cat
stock header
AEM intake
AEM FPR
Chipped P28 with OBD2-1 harness
VFAC
H&R full coilovers not sleeves
JDM **** CF hood
H22 type s red valve cover
JDM recaro replica seats
Red stich shift boot
6000K HID kit
Pioneer headunit
Nice alarm with remote start, and other safety features

The car runs real strong and pulls on a local turbo GSR, and Type-r eg hatch, but thats with a good driver. Overall its pretty clean but there are some door dings that could be taken out if someone is serious about the car. He is looking for offers and interesting trades, but no stupid offers like a broke-*** eg with a gsr swap or $10K. The car is a rare 97 ITR and its got low miles on the chassis, and extremely low miles on the swap.

the car is a rare type r that is missing it's heart in my opinion and others it's not worth what it was with the b18c5

I still think this car is worth a good deal of money. I keep telling him that I wouldn't sell it for less then 13-14K, but its his decision and he wants to see what people have to offer.

Really you people only think this car is worth 10K? Man I see cars with more miles in not nearly as good shape for more money. The chassis alone is so rare, that I thought this car would easily pull 12K but in my opinion i wouldn't sell it for less then 13-14K.

I mean if he bought an ITR swap and put that in how much does everyone think it would be worth? Would he get that much more? The way the car is now its way faster then an ITR and the motor couldn't be any more mint with only ~3K documented miles.

An all original 97 ITR may be rare, but without the B18C5 in it, it doesn't make the car stand out as much from other Integras. The car looks like it's in great shape though. I really have no comment on the price though. I guess it's worth as much as someone is willing to pay for it. Bump for a nice car!

Actually there is more to a ITR then just the motor. The chassis has a bunch of differences from other integras so its still special. There is a whole post pointing out the differences, but in any case it isn't a standard integra.

I understand the chassis is rare but in my opinion, it is not worth what you think it is because of the motor. the swap, while adding more torque and whatnot detracts from what many conceder a perfectly balanced car. if the swap was in a gsr, it would probably be worth as much as a stock gsr or more because so many gsr's where made, itr's are so rare that most people would not get one in modified form.

Also the fact that you could buy a Type R shell and throw an H22 in it for under 10K.

Actually he's not sure he wants to sell the car, but is more wondering what its worth. He loves the car and the fact that its different. I have driven both and I actually prefer his car....but again its all a matter of opinion. If he really can't get what he wants or what I think he should, he will either put a b18c5 in it, or just keep it, but either way the car is still really nice. I keep telling him to keep it and boost it

Interested. But need some Q's answered first.

Why was the orig. motor swapped? Blown, theft?

Is the car's title clean? Any prior accidents/theft at all, regardless of how minor or major damages?

I don't want to judge until I get your feedback, but I have a feeling it was stolen and stripped before, hence many parts were changed. (motor, seats, suspension, etc..)

TIA

whuts up everyone... this used to be my car however i sold it a little while back. i can confirm that this car was never hit and it had 32,000 miles when i sold it. it was mint when i sold it and its even better/bader now. brian put a lot of work into this car and i seriously feel he can get 15k for it. shoot if i had the money i would definitely buy it back from him. its also 1 of the remaining rare 97's that are still on the road.

good luck brian/john

15k uh huh nothing on the car seems to be a 15k type r I think thats the point people are making, aside from the 5 lugs, its an integra with an h22 swap, no more.

This car is NOT a regular integra. Does anyone here remember that the ITR has chassis differences that regular integras don't have... I mean again I agree its not worth the same as an ITR with a b18c5 but its also not worth the same as an integra with a swap...

This car has low miles and the motor is practically new!! I would like to see any semi stock type-r hang with this car and if people think the weight difference is so great, then they have never driven anything like this.
