What size Piping for my exhaust?

What size Piping for my exhaust? HELP PLS
I got my high flow cat and muffler and the size on it is 2 1/2 but kind of think it might be to much air flow and might lose back pressure. I have a 1.6 v-tec and would like to know what size i should go with? Do you guys think 2 1/2 is to big for my motor?
Comments would be appreciated.
P.S. the cat is the same size as the muffler 2 1/2
