N/A are Turbo
Cant decide what I want to do with my R. I would love to turbo it but I cant deal with the headache of a turbo car. All I'm looking for if I go N/A is mid 13's at around 103-105 and that's it for the R. What would I have to do to get these numbers without going too crazy.
You have the power right before you to find all the info you need using the button in the upper right hand corner. Best of luck with your research!
you dont need much to hit mid/high 13s. a lot of that just comes down to driver skill and launching. Search around. Personally I dont see much point in turbo'ing a stock motor, you are just going to kill it. Get some bolt ons and maybe some mild cams, and some tuning, and practice at the track. Your times will come down.

God, I hate when people say that. The motor will last PLENTY long with sufficient tuning. Explain a 98 ITR with arorund 120k miles (boost added around 70k) still holding strong on a stock block. 7PSI on 93

stay all motor.
really i was going mid 13's all day on a few boltons and some slicks. its not hard to do </TD></TR></TABLE>
Love turbo but couldnt agree more with Pete......didnt come from the factory turbo...so in my opinion it should just be left alone. Plus....R=born race ready! Listen to what RTW had to say, thats good advice.

I was hittin around 200 WHP with my boltons and some headwork. mid 13's is EASILY doable even without the headwork. It's all up to you playboy. How fast you wanna go and how much you wanna spend. Me, I'm always lookin to do new ****. N/A wasn't cuttin' it for me anymore.

relax, killer.
Im just a fan of the safe route. Sure you can boost a stock motor, but how long do you think those stock pistons are gonna hold up to boost? you can tune all you want, but that isnt gonna change the fact that the stock pistons/rods dont like boost. I never said it couldnt be done though.

Alot of people skimp out on tuning and it creates a big misconception about boosting Honda's... let alone high compression hoda's. Yea, eventually something will break, but that comes with the territory.
I love my R and I love the way it performs for me. I just don't want to loose the reliability of the car. I beat the hell out of my R and it still stands strong I guess I'm going to start looking into headers, exhaust etc.
its not the rods that cant handle it, its the pistons . the ring lands are ****. but with good tuning it will last a while. depends on driving habits and tuning
