how safe is it to have type r pistons with gsr head withe the compression at around 12.5:1?
i am doing a ls/vtec swap and i have the block and ihave a gsr head and i dk if it woudl be better to go wtih teh type r pistons or p30 pistons. i have both on me now i just need to decide which to put in. And also woudl i need bigger injectors for the type r pistons?
They'll be fine. Really it's up to you whether you want to use the p30's or the itr's. No need to get bigger injectors, 240cc should be fine.

is this gonna be a daily driver? cause if so, ny has crappy fuel for such high compression engines...its almost like cali's crappy fuel. anything over 12:1 for daily driving is a bit too much because of the headaches it creates.
yeah this is for daily driving thats why im leaning towards teh pr3 b/c ill still get pretty high compression at like 11.7 or 8 but it will be better for drving around daily

Really? I thought you could get 93-94 octane in New York. California has 91 octane.
