Is my axle bad??
I was driving up to Santa Barbara from LA yesterday and it was pretty scary. What are the symptoms that your axle is bad? My car had crazy vibration through the steering wheel along with the steering wheel trying to move by itself. Also, a clicking noise on turns. I'm pretty sure my axle is f*ed up. How much would it cost to fix roughly? Also, I got a 95 Accord 4dr with an H22a in it. What type of axles should I get?? THANK YOU.
I agree, it's a half shaft for sure. I bought the lifetime waranty rebuilds to. I had to replace both in my 92 LX Accord, and there about $60-80 bucks each, with the core exchange. Bad clicking while in a turn is a key indicator that they are going out.....
If your going to do the work yourself, be ready to remove the tire, pop some ball joints, and you'll need a fork tool for those joints, etc..... Need a good manual, always helps. And if you have the H22 trans, I'm guessin you got the H22 half shafts to during the swap.

Aren't the H22a axles a little bit longer than the accords? This would cause binding and eventual failure of the axle once again. Just stick with the accord axles.
You need a new axle those are the symptoms.
I have nappa axles. I have broken 2 and had 2 others go bad on me but the just keep replacing them for me. Gotta love that lifetime warranty. Also changing a axle yourself is cake. I can change in under 20 mins now bc of all my axle problems.
