Where in my engine bay (99 v6) is the egr port, that I need to clean? I read on archived topics that I just spray it with throttle body cleaner?

me and my dad did this, its very simple. take off the plastic covering on the engine. then there are like 5 or 6 bolts holding the intake manifold on and like 3 or 4 holding the throttle body to the manifold (those are kinda a pain). but you take the intake manifold off and there is a little hole that looks somewhat pointless and chances are it will be clogged full of carbon. the hole is near where the throttle body and intake manifold come together. spray it with a lot of brake/parts cleaner or throttle body cleaner and take a philips head screw driver and unclog the hole. i would advise you to spray the rest of the intake manifold as well... you would be suprised at what comes out. hopefully that helps.

If it has less than 80,000 miles on it, take it to a dealer for a free fix. (if it's indicated by the cel)
