No Vtec in my B series
Hey guys
I have been having serious trouble with my vtec for the past 4 months and I still can figure it out. Heres the rundown...
im running a B16A1 with an AEM CAI, Skunk2 IM, Full MSD ignition, Fluidyne, Greddy oil catch can, and an Apex'i V-AFC (untuned), ITR header, 2.25" exhuast pipe to Apex'i N1 muffler.
My car won't rev past 7k and vtec doesn't hit. I can hear the sound of vtec but i cannot feel a change. My car doesn't throw out any CEL's until i disconnect the Vafc, then it throws out codes 22 and 23 (Vtec pressure switch and knock sensor) I had both of those replaced and still nothing. I checked all the wiring to the D6 pinout on the ecu and everything is fine there. I also checked all the grounds and had the O-rings on the solenoid replaced and still nothing. Someone told me that it could be my MSD SCI ignition, but the car ran perfectly fine, if not better, after it was installed. Brought it to 3 mechanics and they all could not fix it. PLEASE HELP
If this helps at all i notced through my A/F guage that my cars A/F ratio has become progressively richer to the point that it does not even fluxuate at all when I step on the gas. Maybe my car is running in limp mode becuase i have noticed it feels sluggish

i would check to see if the solenoid itself is engaging (actually working) by check voltage at the connector and making sure the solenoid and pressure switch both have ground from there go to honda and see if they can give you the Trouble Tree (there diagnostic process for that system on the vehicle)
