Car unexpectedly pulled hard to the right today.
I was driving my car today when it pulled hard to the right twice today -- both times when I accelerated from a stop. Once almost into the drivers door of the car in the right lane -- how embarrassing. These weren't drag racing starts, or anything like that.
It felt like major torque steer, but I haven't this problem before. It happened a second time and the next traffic light and then it didn't happen anymore -- I even launched it hard a little later, clear of traffic and it didn't pull.
could it be something with the LSD? It didn't feel like my right caliper was sticking. Tire pressures are fine. I had to fight it a little bit to get it straight when it was pulling.
Has anyone experienced anything like this or even has some thoughts on what would cause it, I would like to hear you thoughts. Thanks -Ewan

what kind of road were you on? Roads with dips in them where heavy trucks have been, etc, can really pull your car, the way the tire grabs the road's curved surface...see if it does it again in the same area.
Busted axle/cv.
If the LSD was bad, you'd probably have moving at all. I'm assuming you're using the ITR LSD, which is a Torsen. Butch unit. I highly doubt it's busted.

I don't think it was the road -- usually the car is very well behaved, pulls in a straight line. These two times it almost pulled the steering wheel outta my hand to go right. ...and I didn't see any cute Civic's that she coulda been going after.
I'll check the axle/CV joint--I guess what makes it so weird is that I can't reproduce the problem. Now I have this hanging doubt every time I hit the gas. I know, I'll just leave the right indicator on!
thanks for the thoughts...

There's a light that I hit every night on the way home from work that makes my car do that from a stop. The road is so severely crowned from such heavy traffic that I've pulled to the right, as well as the left. It all depends on how centered I have my car in the lane while stopped.
