want opinions on a quick write up i did...
so i wanted to explain to a friend why he isnt going to get 15hp out of an AEM intake and also tell him what things he could do (bolt-ons) to get performance increases from his car... thought my friend doesnt have a honda i belive that the concept is the same for hondas and would deff apply to my own honda.
if anyone has sum spare time and could read over it and give me sum feedback it would b most appreciated!
heres the link: (bear with me and the very simplified examples and grammar i use)

bolt ons, like intake, header and exhaust is the only way your friend will feel 15 hp otherwise slapping on intake alone isnt really going to give him his 15hp.
better off with flywheel and clutch if hes trying to do the legal thing

It's pretty good for explaining it to a non-mechanically inclined person. There are definitely a few concepts that are "iffy", but it's a good way of explaining it to someone who didn't know much to begin with.
Also, the HP figures you listed for most of the items REALLY depend on what car/truck you're talking about. For example, you quoted 2-3 HP, I believe, for a CAI; but the RSX has made 12+ WHP from just a CAI alone! Also, a header on a Honda will give very little gain, unless it's a very expensive one like Mugen or Prospeed, which can give up to about 10-12.
If you REALLY wanna confuse him, throw velocity in there w/ the intake/exhaust explanation.....which is actually what should replace backpressure, since you want higher velocity w/ little regard to backpressure.

was that on an all stock RSX? thats craaazy...
what is the velocity explanation? you are referring to? i didnt read about that before.

im curious...would that void a warranty on any car?

it's not crazy...because a lot of it has to do with the efficiency of the stock intake. if you have a really shitty 1.5" air intake with a small, dirty filter, and 23083248 twists in it..then you put a smoother, bigger, higher-flowing aem CAI, of course it'll free up A LOT of hp. it all depends on the application.

K-series: more efficient, larger displacement ... not too crazy
