Default Intake problems on my Accord...

The air filter on my intake recently fell off. A few miles after reattaching it, my car (1999 Accord EX) started acting funny. The rev on the tachometer would go past 2000rpm, and the engine would be louder than usual. Also, the intake has become unusually loud whenever I step on the gas. And, the engine shakes significantly when I turn the ignition off....

My friend told me to reset the computer by disconnecting the negative from the battery. I left if off overnite, and the the rev has returned to a little over 1000rpm in idle. However, the engine still makes a lot of noise, the intake is still incredibly loud, and the car still shakes after I turn the engine off.

Can anyone give me some advice on what the problem may be? And...how to possibly fix it?

i thought you we suppose to take of the positive. the neg is just a ground. does it stay at 2k rpm when it's warm? once your car is warm it should drop to under 1k
