Default 15.2 @ 92 MPH in my del sol

finally got a chance to run my car after the swap

R/T................... .453
60'.................... 2.438
330................... 6.571
1/8................... 9.898
MPH.................. 73.56 MPH
1000................. 12.765
1/4................... 15.207
MPH.................. 92.07 MPH

Here is a pic and list of my mods:
H-T Garage

i'm quite disappointed. i was really aiming for 14s. my 60' times were shitty.

i'm going again this friday and i'm determined to break into the 14s.

dont worry man, if the motor is good, you probbaly just need some good old tuning, or you just cant drive . . . . either way you car should be running faster than a 15.2

au revoir and good luck to ya!

92 MPH is a pretty high MPH for a 15.2. With that MPH your making enough power to get mid to high 14's. Either you need better tires or seat time.

u can hit 14.7s wit that setup possibly. but a gsr too???? that seems kinda low for MPH for even a GSR swap my freind's EK hatch that weighed in at like 2500 went 14.4@96 with just i/h/e/skunk2 IM but wit that time u should be 14.7s def but u gotta cut a nice 2.2 60' if u pull a 2.1 ull be mid low 14s

you guys think so? i think so too. my friend with an EK ran a 14.4 @ 94 mph. i think my launches are what's killing me. i even let some air out of the tires.

dang man.
well it is a sol so its kinda heavy
2340 is going to hurt times, but its not THAT heavy.

you should definetely be in the 14's...

thos launches are pretty bad.
why dont you find a safe abandoned road somewhere and just practice some launches?
make sure its realy wide and no ones ever around , dont wana c u fukin urself or others up of course.

it'll take more than letting air out of the tires to launch well man , fwd is a toughie off the line.
Try and fine what is your optimal rpm to launch at, and practice not just dumping it and letting your tires spin allover the place

i'm aiming for 14.7 on friday. here's my plan:

run seafoam through my motor
change oil
change spark plugs and wires
wire up my IABs or just get my secondaries to stay permanently open
rotate the tires
try to reduce even more weight
run my rechipped P28 as well as an obd-1 P72
practice some more launching
run open header (this is a maybe)

i heard the IABs being closed is really hurting my top end.

I don't want to say anyhting but where are you luanching at? Also with that motor and you hit 15.2. Even with the tuning sorry to say it must be the driver. Practice more and you'll do wonders. Practice luanching at 5k then 500 plus after eveytime you get it down.

Reading your mods in your h-t garage..

It seems you only have 2 mods that's helping you HP wise.. (short ram intake & vafc if tuned)

Get you a nice header and nice exhaust setup and get your vafc dyno tuned and you'll run mid 14's / low 14's all day.

Goodluck

What do you Americans runk, standing quarter miles?

To give you an idea a Civic Type R would be getting 14.5-15 seconds on a UK drag (1/4 mile).

You're either trying to make him feel better or you're simply taking out of your ***.

I'm not going to lie to you, those numbers are horrible with a c1; and not to mention you got a nice set-up.
I notice you have a VAFC - Are you tuned, with a dyno?

I think you know what to do, pactice the launches, get some better front tires, lower the psi and keep trying.

no, if your IAB isn't wired, then the butterflies default open.

Your 60' time is awful tho, you must launch like me. The 92mph looks a little weak too; are you using the stock cat?

Yeah you need to work on your launch, and you'll get better times for sure. I ran a 15.0@90....2.1 60'....LS w/ I/H/E full interior and system.

you definately have the mph for 14's. my friends ek went 14.6 with a b20 @ 92 mph. just cut your 60 foot down and you're set. also i wouldnt run a chipped p28 with the stock gsr mani, but thats just me.
