Default Wicked Industries???

Has anyone heard of this company? They make cams, and apperantly they make cams for skunk2 as well.
The reason I am wondering is I am about to buy some cams off of locass316 and he says they are skunk2 stage 2 cams but he got them from skunk2's distibutor, Wicked Industries.
Anyone know if this is legit? https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=848891
Thanks!

Wicked is not the distributor for skunk2, wicked just happened to find out where the skunk cams were made and copied them

redzone performance sells both skunk2 and these cams and they are the same cam like sinisterprostok said. If you want to save some money just go to redzone and pick up a set.

Wicked Industires is Speed Image correct?
Ask them for the specs on their cams and see if they will tell you.

so the general census is that these are NOT real skunk2 cams... when i went down to meet locass316, he told me straight up that these cams were from the distributor of skunk2. i know that skunk2 gets factory blanks from honda's manufaturer and grinds them to their spec. i did not see any markings reminicent of a skunk2 cam.

not bashing on locass316, but i think that these are not skunk2 cams.... its like... "spoon style wing... mugen style strut bar... etc. etc."

but can anybody vouch for the actual legit-ness of Wicked Industries?

I don't think anyone copied anyone. Instead of buying the cams from Skunk2 they buy the cams straight from the source which is in Taiwain or China or whatever. Business is business. Everything these days are made overseas. Thats how I see it.

lol, this is the same magazine that wanted to do a article on my car but wanted to used other manufactors names rather than what customs or small companies parts I had on my car.

Hence I blew them off.

Whats the whole point of lying to the public,,,,,,,,,but I guess magazines are based on the manufactors that give them $$$.

SuperStreet and Turbo magazine

God I missed TMR, lol

Yep, so true.....................what if we would purchase over $50k on cams, we can call them Gettel Acura Cams.

I swear, certain people don't see that. Instead, ruins other people thread.

Funny, I came back today from a small tube-header company here in Florida. Sorta makes me wanna make a header under our name............hmmmmmmmm!

Omniman, correct me if Im worng but I do believe Skunk has their cams made by Tesla correct?

If this is true, all you would need is a set of actual Skunk cams to send them so they can make a master and away you go... It just takes a small chunk of $$$ to get the cams done... An initial cam production run is usually 100 pieces x 2 (1 intake, 1 exhaust)

A lot of you dont realize this but the more this stuff goes on, the more sources become less of a secret and more public knowledge the industry will be forced to compete with the smaller shops lower prices for the same products...

I think its safe to say the flooding of the cam market has begun...

Its a good thing for budget Joe racer out there, not so good for the companies that have come accustom to the 500-1000% mark ups...

As of today we have not sold any cams directly to the public. We only sell to reputable tuner shops with garage and a physical store location, with 1 exception, Opi on Honda-Tech. We are NOT a SKUNK2 dealer and do NOT sell SKUNK2 cams. We welcome any reputable tuner to DYNO Wicked Stg2 and Stg3 cams verses SKUNK2 stg2 and Stg3 cams. To address the Intake Manifold concerns... SKUNK2 copied the TYPE-R manifold's design because it is a good design, why don't people bag on that? We also based our design on the TYPE-R manifold, NOT the SKUNK2. If you have any knowledge on manifold design and specs and you put Wicked and SKUNK2 manifolds next to each other, you will see the difference. Again, we welcome DYNO comparasion from any reputable tuner on the manifolds.

A lot of the cams out there come from Turkey. Turkey is one of the largest steel/iron exporters in the owrld. I can think of 2 major manufacturing facilities there that supply some of the biggest names in the cam business with cores and finished cams. You would laugh if you knew what a set of cams actually cost when mass produced.

Its not hard to find these places, you just gotta know where to look and what it is your looking for.
