Gardella Racing even with all the weight they gave me. More weight, more we are just going to have to turn it up. Look out GM. Its a race for the 7's now. With the weight they mad us add we will be 200lbs. over the sunfire. Do you guys think thats right. Or is this the GM show. If you guys want to help out tell NHRA how much B.S this is Email Jskelly@nhra.com. If you guys think i should just add the weight and beat them at there own game thats what we will do. But we will need support from everyone on honda-tech.

well does the sunfire use a OEM tranny or a racing one?

I really do not see how the ECOTEC engine it self has advantage over a Honda engine

There are soooooooooooooo many companies making sleeves, pistons, rods, heads, blocks etc for Honda's compared to the ECOTEC
Plus the Honda engines have been R&D to death compared to the ECOTEC
everyone knows by now what works in a Honda motor and what does not

 

It looks like nhra is on the gm band wagon. I swear this series started on honda's now they they are on top again they want to put them behind the BIG $$$$$ GM people. Gary i think you will still be able to over come the weight so go give them a new a$$ HOLE.

Well Gary, I don't think You should add weight or have to add weight. How do we know the GM guys were'nt sandbagging last weekend? I mean they could have been trying to get thier weight penalty taken back off by running lower numbers than Moroso. What would the race between You and Ladwig have looked like if he did'nt know your car had a 8.0 pass in it? I think these guys are trying to play the Nascar penalty game. You just showed Your hand to them a little to early last weekend.

So Gary, I suggest You run where they are'nt going to kill You with weight if You are fast. I heard there might be room for a 7 sec. Honda in the 7 SECOND CLUB. All in all Gary and the guys are a hell of a team, and I would really like to see them when I go to the races.

 

They don't need all the years of testing that went into the Honda programs around the world. They are just throwing the money at thier programs. Hell, have You seen the crews that travel with those 2 cars? And know they have Jack Rousch doing development on the Ecotec stuff, I wish Honda would throw that kind of money to someone.

We all know you can do it, but I don't agree that you should add the weight. Have you thought about running your car in Pro-FWD instead? I understand you might have a slight disadvantage, but it seems that you would be quite competitive in ProFWD, especially if 7s are right around the corner.

I think it would be really cool to see a Hot Rod beating up on ProFWDs. Nevermind you might get invited to an Extreme Rush that way (I think they are still doing them)

Good Luck either way!! NHRA is kinda BS, but it seems to be the #1 event series that racers come out to race at.

 

#1 meaning what? I have been to several events for several series, and I could not tell they were #1 as You call it.
The last 2 events I went to this year (last 2 weekends) They both had 40 pro drivers. The street classes however are alot larger in the other series. They had 2 classes that combined had over 50 cars, 6 rounds of elimanations in each class. In one class we got to the semi's come down to all 9 sec street cars. (Jason Hunt, Brian Ballard, Matt K., Ali in the WRX) The tech lines took over an hour to go through for the street classes, and we waited over an hour just to get into the track. The car show was BIG, and the after party was even BIGGER.
I would say that fun was had by everyone there, at least by everyone in My crew. We got to meet some awesome racers and fans. You guys know who You are, so please keep up the good work and we will hopefully see You in Fla. soon.

 

What ever it may be... I hope you beat him, gary! ALPHA RACING will be there for support!

2nd power adder 200lbs. Just tell GM to put NX on there car. I can get them a good deal on the Nitrous Express kit.

Add 100lbs for methanol
Add 100 lbs for after market tranny
78mm max turbo size

This means You can weigh 2000lbs right?

What do You have to weigh on the other side of the fence?

Oh, you had that weight with the 8.0 though. I thought they gave you more after that run. Hopefully they won't, it'll be pretty fucked up if they do.

 

making gary add another hundred pounds would be rediculous. his car would weight 2350 and that is insane. ****, you only have to weight 2400 in the street class with TWO poweradders and thats with a full interior, all glass, street car. i think NHRA has lost their minds.

In my biased opionion, You should not add the weight and refuse to run until they rework all the weights, not just Garys weights.

 

i dont think you should have to add the weight either, But i say play their own game man . Its obvious you can run the times. Step it up another notch and **** everyone off on the GM wagon . It will be great. Nothing can feel better then playing by their fucked up rules to slow you down and you just end up going faster. lol.

 

I think it's BS they expect you to add more weight, are we racing or selling Chevy's? They really need to rework the classes, saying "well the Hot Rods shouldn't run as quick as the Pro FWD cars" without determining why it is happening is BS. Get the rules straight at the begining of the season and think of all posibilities, canceling class, adding weight every week doesn't necessarily promote better racing from the entire field, rather than it does attempt to slow down the fastest cars and not promote what the fans want to see, good racing and record times.

 

Atleast he can add it to the front bumper...which is just going to help out traction.

60ft's in the 1.20s last week....Purely Insane in a Unibody FWD. Getting down to where the RWD Backhalf Cars are...Keep it going Gary. If they are going to penalize you for the nitrous, **** um...add another Stage
