Inputting Stereo Code...
Well, I got my serial number off my stereo, and I'm gonna call for the code tomorrow, but how do I input the code? Is it just a number that input via the channel buttons, after turning the unit on?
I know its a stupid question, but I'm excited to actually have some music..haha.

depending on what year accord you may have, you will find the code just by looking on the inside of your glove compartment or ash tray or similar items. Just look for a five digit number on 94-97 accords. That is if it is the original radio deck.
I'm interestred to know if you got a dealer to just give you the info over the phone, you would think they would ask you to show up and provide proof of ownership... Then again why would anyone in their right mind go and steal a factory radio?

My dealership requires someone to show up in person with their reg. and liscense or the car. Factory deck theft is pretty high where I live because they steal them then sell them to rebuilders.

ur code is in ur manual.....dealership SHOULD give u the code over the phone w/ a VIN.....5th gen decks dont work outside of the car (at least mine wont), thus proving thieves are even gayer

BTW: the code isnt located on random parts of your interior (to my knowledge), those are the part numbers of the specific item...but i might be wrong

When the car is delivered to the dealership the paperwork has a set of stickers with the radio S/N and code. Many dealerships will put a sticker on the gas door, a fuse panel cover or in the glove box, or even the ashtray in older models. My dealer puts only the S/N on the side of the glove box. On most of the 01 and newer cars you can get the S/N from the radio itself if you know the procedure.

LOL on the gayer def, anyhow if you can figure out the original dealer who sold the car, at least the one that sold the car that my mom purchased, they had the radio code on file, and since we called them and said that we just purchased the car from CarSense they knew that was where the returned leased car went so they just gave the code over the phone. But the point was that the original selling dealer kept a copy of the code on the original paperwork just in case.
well, i dont got stickers on ****.....damn you Tamaroff Honda in Southfield, Michigan....for 5th gens, was the security only on certain radios??....ive got the 6 disk in trunk changer, but i wounder if ur basic DX radio/cassette came w/ teh security
