Default Former ITR owner

I recently sold my ITR and am currently looking for a BMW M3. I found some 2003's on Autotrader ranging from 15000 to 29000. Does this sound like a scam to you.
I was going to purchase 1 in particular for 18000 with 21000 miles. I emailed the seller and she said that she was from London,UK and that the car was in Los Angeles. and that the reason that she was selling so cheap was because she worked for the deaf and she was selling to help fund rights for deaf people and the car was a donation and was not trying to make any large profit. I thought it was too good to be true but I got the 18000 anyway. I later emailed her back telling her that I would take it. She said that she would bring the car to me to see,but I needed to send 20% into an ebay escrow account to be assured that I was really interested and that she would not be making a trip for nothing. I emailed her her back(I asked for a number but she said that she was also deaf and could only communicate through email) and told her that I was not comfortable sending any money until I saw the car. I told her that I would meet her in Los Angeles and if I liked the car then I would buy it. She has not emailed me yet. Does this sould suspecious? I have not heard of many people being scammed on Autotrader. This is where I purchased my ITR in Tennessee. Well I went to get back on autotrader today and the vehicle was no longer on the site. Does anyone know of any way I can find out if this is just a scam?

Sorry for the long story.

scam... if she wanted to sell it to you, should would have made things happen to meet you or have someone else bring the car to you... its that simple... this is just another way for someone to pull this scam on you...

it goes into a bogus escrow service and straight to multiple accounts...

ALWAYS REMEMBER IF YOU USE ESCROW SERVICE TO USE YOUR OWN ESCROW COMPANY THAT YOU HAVE RESEARCHED , NOT THE ONE THEY TELL YOU TO GO TO....

def a scam, I hear that happens all the time. "Oh I live in France, but my friend is holding onto my car in Ohio". I would NEVER deal with anyone outside of my own country, unless I had a close friend that personally knew the seller.
