I thought that statement would have given enough of a clue... I guess not.

Thank you, The traction bars prevent wheel hop which shakes the car so bad that the glove box opens.

OK in simple terms http://www.z10eng.com/

Most of the info and the price is on the site.

As for my review... 97% wheel hop gone and either the car just hooks and goes or spins the tires depending on the amount of gas given.

I did not notice any thing different about the handling, then again I was on city streets and just finished putting them in.

I would recommend to anyone have issues with wheel hop to buy and install these.

IF you are planning on DIY then you might need a impact gun to get the bolt off the control arm- I could not do it myself and had to bring it to a shop ( friend of 16 years, Freebie!)

other wise rather simple, came with everything needed and no surprises.

Nicely made, good quality, but I had to add some of my own touch by painting the cross bar

Why don't you just lock your glove box...were the bars really necessary

I don't think that the point of the bars was solely to keep his glove box closed!

.....yeah I have heard that the z10 were inferior to the jimfab bars due to the geometry. Where is the truth in such rumors?
